- While on placement, I had the opportunity to become involved in a wide range of extra curricular activities, including:
Attending various staff meeting that incorporated professional developments, including literacy, numeracy, ICT involvement in the classrooms. and understanding the Ausvels in different year levels.
Excursions, Buddies walk.
Contributed with grade 5/6 Economics project, which was developing stalls for a market. Also participated in stalls.
Eager to start a professional development course about the Tribes program.
Interschool sports, where I umpired netball games, involving myself in the extra activities.
Religious studies and attending school mass.
Assisted with a school production rehearsals of 'The wizard of Oz'.
Visited Princes Hill primary school which is located in the inner city of Melbourne. I went to observe and document the learning environment which implements a more student centred pedagogy influenced and informed by community needs. Princes Hill primary school designed their building with Mary Featherston, a architect to encourage social interaction between students as well as between students and teachers.
