While on my teaching rounds, I had the opportunity to be observed by many experienced teachers with ongoing feedback and advice. This permitted me to gain a variety of constructive feedback on my teaching content and practices. It helped me develop and enhance my teaching techniques to make my teaching more effective.
I was very fortunate to experience a range of teaching strategies in a wide range of environments and age levels. Everything I observed and discussed with my mentor teachers and the staff, I took on board their professional advice and ideas. I have taken all conversations on board and reflected on them to use and take with me to my future teaching experiences.
As a student teacher, I learnt that I should not to be afraid to ask for help and more importantly not to be afraid to acknowledge weaknesses and to be ready to change.
